This season represents a new
chapter for design label oktoberdee. After designing and
producing leather handbags in Melbourne since 2006, it has come
time to move production offshore, and although this decision was
a difficult one to make, it was also somewhat inevitable. But
with the shift comes great promise and endless inspiration,
which is clearly evident in this first range "Whimsy".
Using stunning Italian
leathers and hand-printed fabrics exclusive to oktoberdee, the
collection is playful and innovative. With different shapes and
styles to cater to the many different needs and wants of our
customers, each bag has been designed with careful thought and
creativity right down to the finest of details. So every style
not only functions beautifully but is also of the highest
quality in terms design and craftsmanship.
Designer, Lauren Ferry, has been passionately pursuing this line
of work for eight years, and adores injecting her product design
background into the age-old profession. In addition to the range
of bags, her range of neckwear designs, including the popular
cravelle, have become recognizable pieces that continue to
inspire, and are still all handmade by Lauren herself in her
Geelong based studio. |
